Lawyer Fowzia Janahi, Financial Secretary
of Bahrain Bar Association, participated in mini conference and training
session, which was organized by the Association of Jordanian Lawyers in
cooperation with The Judicial Institute of Jordan (Amman) on Sunday and Monday
(12-13 February 2017) , in the presence of the Islamic judicial bodies ,
Judicial Council, Jordanian Bar Association and the Kuwait Bar Association.
The Conference addressed several topics,
where the first day discussed the mechanisms of implementing the foreign judgments
in the light of Arab and international conventions, and how to make foreign judgments acquires the Executive Force in the country
required implementing thereto. Lectures were delivered by Judge Ismail Noah and
Judge Mansour Al-Mutawalbeh, while the second day discussed the experiences of
the family reform in the Gulf Countries, as well as a lecture on the
intervention of the Public Prosecution in the sharia cases delivered by Judge
Hussein Al-Omari.
Janahi submitted a working paper on the
role of the reform project of His Majesty the King of Bahrain in supporting and
empowering Bahraini women and the effects of this on the development of the
judicial system in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
